Porter got the Superhero elements on every iconic character down pat. Bigger than life, shown here with Batman looking at us from high above like a god sitting on a throne aboard the Watchtower.

Totally agree. I was thinking of quitting comic collecting around 1997 and Morrison and his JLA brought me right back.
