Description
I feel like Comic Art Live should be a national holiday.

Every show I'm ready at the sound of the opening bell because I know I'm going to see something way cool that fits right into my collection, unfortunately even if I've already spent my quota of comic art money that month (actually I don't have a quota but sometimes breaks must be pumped).

In any case this most recent CAL show bore fruit twice, and this was the first piece I came across.

I count myself a pretty big fan of Matt Wagner's work, most specifically Mage - so when I saw this awesome rendition of one of my favorite characters in Moon Knight I snatched it up while I could.

Thanks to Rezwanul for a smooth transaction and perfect packaging in shipping it out to me. Now Matt's Marc guards my desk with calm and dangerous grace...

Wagner draws these with an eye for balance and to be representative of his take on the character.  He is able to distill the essesnce and history of Moon Knight to a single image.  Wagner then adds the rounded border to make this look like a tarot card.

That's awesome Marcus, I hadn't thought of it in the vein of a tarot card before. Way cool.

Always loved the symetry on that one.

A "simpler" piece some may describe this as but not so much!  Smaller maybe but the execution's top notch.  A killer face forward shot and Wagner's style is perfect for MK!  As F M notes you gotta love the symmetry.  Congrats!

Very cool how it blends into nothingness.
