DescriptionAl Williamson was born to draw Star Wars. . . and a thousand other things.*UPDATE* A fellow CAF suggested that Bill Stout inked the page, which the more I looked at it seemed very plausible. I reached out to him and he confirmed he inked most of it, with parts inked by Williamson. Bill said he inked 2 ROTJ pages, and Dave Stevens also inked 2. Social/Sharing |

Thanks, I was thinking that also but wasn't sure. I believe he inked the page that follows. Possibly a team effort.

Memorable scene amongst many. The centerpiece is the Leia close up in the middle from which all other panels build around artistically and emotionally.

This page is incredibly beautiful. I think Stevens worked on it too. Two master artists on one page. Does it get any better?

Looks as if Al inked Threepio himself. Definitely cool to see mutliple hands in this.

Sometimes comic artists depicting actors from movies or TV shows get lost in nailing the look of the characters and the art itself can look stiff, but Williamson, even though he easily got each character just right, never let the story suffer for it. It's really quite amazing.

Gorgeous example--so precise, with perfect likenesses, but still full of life. The depth and texture on the page is incredible--and the inks on C3PO in particular are sublime. Congrats!
