CARDINAL (future genetic version of Nightcrawler from POWER OF X) - Dave Stokes Illustration

My second illustration from the X-tremely talented Dave Stokes, my first one is WEAPON X on here.

This piece is of CARDINAL, who first appears in POWER OF X #1. He is a futuristic genetic version of Nightcrawler.

I really enjoyed Hickman’s DAWN OF X, which reworked the X-Men universe, starting with the POWER OF X and HOUSE OF X series. Stokes’ rendition of this highly underutilized character is very playful and spry like Nightcrawler. I can easily imagine this character being swapped in for Nightcrawler when he was a pirate for his many fantasy adventures.
