DescriptionJAWS is one of my two favorite movies of ALL TIME! So, when I had a chance to get a cool pencil sketch of the iconic scene that Roger Kastel painted in oil for the Bantam paper back cover (1974), and subsequently used for the classic Universal Studios movie poster (1975), I had to have it.JAWS brings back such fond memories for me, as I was 8 years old in the summer of 1975 when my mother took me to see the movie. I was absolutely enthralled by the film. And, it was the cover of the Bantam book that prompted me to want to see the movie in the first place - the massive Great White Shark rising up from the murky depths to devour his first victim, Chrissie. What a striking unforgettable image! Always loved the way Roger rendered the teeth on the shark - reminds me a steak knives. This is true Americana.
