Description

This is from one of my favorites stories of all time, with my favorite Bronze age character, NOVA. Add to that George Perez as one of my top 3 artists of all time, and you have a keeper!

This story always captured my imagination for several reasons; "What If a Criminal Had Become Nova?" was great - and it was drawn by George Perez and inked by the great Tom Palmer.

Love the panels with Doom, who's had just about enough of NOVA's insubordinate attitude - and decided to "off" him.

This was the probably the PRIME of PEREZ, who went directly from this issue to amazing covers for Avengers, to penciling Avengers, then simultaneously starting one of his most popular runs ever for DC with the New Teen Titans!

Thanks to Michael for letting this page go - I now have 2 consecutive pages from this story and Perez art - 37 & 38!

Doctor Doom by Perez is a very cool acqusition. Wonderfully detailed as we can always depend on from George Perez who has been delighting fans over generations, taking the comics industry to new plateaus each step of his journey.
