Isn't that great when you gradually fall more and more in love with a piece of art, and then you can grab it?!  Congrats, cuz this really is a beautiful piece, and from 1961!  Thank you for including the reference pics.  That's really fun to see.

I love this time-capsule! And, to be frank, I love this prelim far more that the final piece. It's loose, simple and has so much energy. And those raindrops! Great pick-up! Congrats.

The subtle color theory work is excellent, too. A lot of the images pop comes from which colors were placed next to each other, imo. And 100% agreed on the rain. I can see why this piece grabbed you, it's lovely. Congrats!

Pure Masterpiece, this would look amazing hanging up on the wall! Great eye and awesome get. 

Lovely cover. Love the colorful rain drops and the mood of the entire piece. Instantly relatable. Also a great period piece with the phone booth, business attire, newspapers, etc. I also quite enjoy the relaxed stroll of the one gentleman prepared with an umbrella in contrast to the forward-leaning pace of the less prepared crowd with their newspapers. Very nice cover.

The treatment of the rain is very weird but effective. Colours used to suggest a rainbow effect?

Mucho like... there's something almost ukiyo-e about this scene.
