Batman Retroactive

So there are a handful of books, and more importantly artist of books. That have created a lasting and powerful memory of joy that continue to this very day. For me one of these artist is Jerry Bingham. When I read and looked at what I would consider real artwork within the pages of Batman Son of the Demon. they really shaped my idea of what comic books were and what they could be.
I as many of us probably had the same reaction to this book. I know that I would love a page from that graphic novel. Until then I have this wonderful page of Batman Retroactive, drawn by the great Jerry Bingham. it has it all, Batman, Robin, the Reaper (one of my favorite DC baddies), and a nun! I love the way Jerry draws and lays out his pages. His ink work is lose, but it hits all the necessary points you need to render these figures. It may look like its simple, but that type of technique and confidence in your line takes years to perfect.
So this may not be a B.S.O.T.D page. But its a Jerry Bingham page with Batman on it. I'm instantly taken back to my younger self and filled with joy, when looking at this page.
