DescriptionRemender’s conclusion to Black Science rejects the traditional "happily ever after" in favor of a brutal character study. By having Grant McKay’s final undoing come at the hands of another Grant, the book proves that his self-destructiveness is a multiversal constant. The tragedy isn't just that he fails; it's that the book tricked us into believing he had finally escaped his nature, only to reveal that he is his own inescapable prison.Social/Sharing |
