Cranboyz 2021: Turtles, Bats, Apes, and Snakes

I was a huge fan of Chuck Dixon and Scott McDaniel's Nightwing run, and I especially loved issue #25, when Nightwing and Robin had a running conversation as they physically ran blindfolded through Bludhaven. I told Scott as much when I requested a commission reminiscent of this issue from him, and he loved the idea! Scott is a great guy, and commissioning him was a great experience. Not only is he one of the nicest people on the planet, the man can draw! I love the energy of his pencils, and he took full advantage of that energy when he did this piece!

It was always exciting when Nightwing would take Tim Drake under his wing because he's been through Batman's mood swings and neglect as well as the training. Grayson would always impart wisdom that would thematically help Robin in his own title. This went both ways as it showed Nightwing's maturity into his own person.

What a great run that was. I remember reading it monthly as every issue came out and re reading it a few years ago. Scott is super great with his commissions and always makes sure to leave you feeling like you created something with him. I love this piece great job !!!
