I like it when he uses all that splatter white paint for the cosmic backgrounds to enchance what is already a stellar composition!

Many reasons to like this piece!

As a young mainstream comic reader and collector, I honestly had no idea what Star Reach was when I first heard about it.  I glommed on to the book when I learned that it featured art by the likes of Barry Smith, Neal Adams, PCR, Howard Chaykin, Jeff Jones, Frank Brunner, Gene Day, and of course Starlin (among many others).  Its significance as one of the very first independent comics, was also lost on me.  I think the first issues I ordered by mail was #2 because of the Neal Adams cover.  But I remember this Starlin cover very well.  You very importantly point out in your description how hard it is to find any self-inked Starlin work from the 70's.  This piece is a rarity indeed.  Of course I'm happy to be part of the club with my 1974 Starlin Frankenstein piece.  Congratulations to you on this excellent piece.

Quality Starlin stellar splatter

He was so busy with the star effect splattering that he forgot to put bras on the ladies! Then again it was commonplace at the time. Perhaps they burnt them in a blaze of liberation?....I am sure you can get pasteups done, perhaps some classy tassles to cover the chest bump areas? Forgive me. Lovely work.
