Description

Another of my Eisner-nominated projects. I WAS THE CAT is the story of Burma, a cat that was the cat in all those past portraits of powerful world-conquerors who had a cat in their laps. It was always the same cat, using his nine lives to attempt to conquer the world, again and again. The story is set in today's world, where he's giving it his one last final try. I LOVE the art for this. Ben is a friend, and it was fabulous to work on this together. He gave me the cover in appreciation for the fun times, and his first Eisner nomination.
