Justice League #52, page 22 by Tom Grummett and Dany Miki (Lex Luthor)

New 52 Justice League #52, page 22. The last page from my favorite run in comics (I know, someone who liked something from the New 52, blasphemous!) Danny Miki’s inks over Tom Grummett’s grey line pencils. Superman is dead and Lex Luthor has decided to take up the mantle of Superman. When Perry White refuses to give him Superman’s cape, Lex buys the Daily Planet to get it. This page is the first appearance of Lex’s full Superman war suit, complete with cape. If this page doesn’t sum up Lex Luthor’s opinion of himself, I don’t know what does. Lex has always been the hero in his own mind and, for a short while, he was the Superman he thought Metropolis needed.
