Kind of a time capsule of what post war artists and dreamers were thinking the future was going to be like and where humanity was as a whole. The two sides at play here tell us that there was both kinds of thinking with atomic bombs now looming over everyday life.

Absolutely. Between 1946 and 1950, Astounding explored all the different facets of atom-fear, from total destruction to mutation and all stops in between.
