Description
I love this page (best page by far in this issue), which was obviously highly inspired by the amazing John Byrne 1970s X-Men run and the beautiful new backup stories in the "X-Men Classic" series (which reprinted the superb Chris Claremont written run, drwan by Cockrum, Byrne, etc.. ). On the pages before this one in the story: Wolverine just had started a completely useless fight with "Mr.Fixit", the grey, less strong, but clever Hulk version - who kicked Logan's butt for good ! Look up my Marc Silvestri gallery for more published Wolverine art !

Only think worse than a short angry hairy mutant is a wet short angry hairy mutant.

I loved these MCP stories as a kid! Fantastic page from Ross' arc.

The aftermath of a battle that took a toll on Wolvie.  He is reinvigorated by being in his habitat and reverting to a more feral state.  A lone wolf walks alone in the end, true to his nature.

Don't mess with Mr Fixit, bub. Smaller, grey Hulk is a relative thing, he can still throw you into orbit. Wolverine is my favorite, but Fixit fights dirty. This is such a cool page. Definitely agree on the (awesome) styling. You win. Big congrats!

The rare panel page where every panel is a framer. Great storytelling by Ross and Day here. Huge congrats!

Some GREAT storytelling there, along with the nice pure illustration.  A conflicted Logan!  Congrats, Tommy!

I totally agree about Byrne influence (panel 1) and even more Bolton's (panels 4 and 5). A beautiful page of my favorite mutant!
