A Neal Adams cover? Goals in full. Plus the image is gloriously reminiscent of Golden Age art styling. Congrats!

Adams as a cover artist during the late 60's revtalized DC's entire line with eye catching concepts and innovative uses of the color palette he opened up in comics. More complexity and new thought went into them at the time as American society was also undergoing radical changes. This cover plays on fears of being assimilated into a forced conformity.

As a kid, I never collected comics by artist. I chose comics based on character, or story, or both. But I never followed a particular artist. Until Neal Adams. His art was like a drug. I just couldn't get enough. I got a copy of the Neal Adams Index because, at the time, it had the most comprehensive list of his comic work I could find. And then of course I proceed to try and track down all those issues. At the time, he was the only artist who could get me to buy a DC comic. Congratulations on getting your first Adams. May you treasure it for years to come.
