Description

Brian Bluedragon files an in-person complaint with how slow the devil's processing souls outta Purgatory (Limbo).

I ate up the Topps Kirbyverse! It was such a treat to see names like Kirby, Ditko & Thomas alongside Byrne, Miller & Simonson. So, I couldn't be happier to luck upon one of the few/rare times Terry Austin inked Jack Kirby�vintage late 70's Kirby too!

Nice page! The King was really having fun with that story, and the explosive top panel with the sword being driven into Satan's desk is superb.

Looks like the published version loses a bit of the detail from Austin's fine inks. The King's artwork remains strong and majestic!

I can see Austin's respect for Kirby in the inks. He stayed so true to his style, and accentuated rather than trying to enhance, which was perfect, imo. And you got a Kirby Cheroot! He loved drawing those. What a cool page to find. I had no idea this pairing even existed. Big congrats!
