Cockrum's design sense was going into overdrive creating another team. Each of the Starjammers had a unique design in species and costumes. They were given personalities that fit as a team to accentuate strengths and weaknesses of each other to make sure they fit as family. Great art by Cockrum on this page with so many of them interaction with the X-Men. Is this where Jean discovers Corsair and Scott's relationship?

Yowza! Love this Cockrum X-Men page! I love this period of the X-Men, and Cockrum was beginning a fantastic period of growth in his art. Look how fully-formed the Starjammers are on this page! You'd never guess he'd just introduced them! Great pick-up!
