I once went up to him early at SDCC and asked to see if he had art or available to sketch. He couldn't give me an straight answer and said to go to his facebook when I'm standing right in front of him. Been a fan ever since. He still does nice work as evidenced here.
Quirky personality and Comicsgate not withstanding, this is the most intersting Shane Davis story I've seen in recent years:
