Description
Having a chance to get a McNiven commission I had to think for only about a minute on what I wanted. Old Man Logan was to me one of the greatest Wolverine Stories I have read, I had been out of reading comics for a few year and after talking to a few people about what had been new they said as a fan of X-Men and Wolverine this story was a must read. Certainly after reading I was not disappointed.

This would have been a portfolio plate worthy piece when they were making them.

They still are, Marcus, for you to store bits of paper covered in marks in...Oh, you mean the vastly overpriced, often badly printed ones they used to sell to people. Worse value even, than compact discs, eye watering, rip off, markups.

They wouldn't have made them if nobody had bought them.

True. The same people who bought many worthless comics to read full stories or complete a set which the publishers made meaningless by relaunching, so fools would think the new number one would be worth something down the liine. How many million mint copies of relaunched Spider-man ones are there? Events! Cossovers! Variant Covers!  The deaths of heroes which are not really deaths! The list of gullibility is long. Would you like to buy 15,000 comics Marcus? I need the space. Lol.

So awesome. McNiven is at the top of the hill looking down, just one of the very best. Perfect choice, Old Man Logan was a phenomenal book.

Amazing! McNiven is one of the best and he's perfect on Old Man Logan. He's also somehow gotten even better since then so he's at the peak of his skills.

agreed, it would be great to see him revisit this series for a one shot or limited run

I can totally relate as this was one of those stories that pulled me back into comics back in 2009. McNiven delivered some of the most memorable art in these issues and a fun story. This piece is stunning and I can only imagine how good it looks in person. Thanks for sharing!

One of McNiven's best drawn stories was OML and this commission shows why.  So much great detail here, and a hairy Logan lends to that, right?!  :)  Congrats!

If you could follow me on Twitter so we can chat... This CAF account is new and while I was responding messages I got a notification for spamming.
