Very pretty and romanticized view that mostly the rich got to see. Elegant refinements throughout and Kaluta and Heath were able to bring the needed skills to provide that look.

Great flying boat in the first panel. I remember a story that Kaluta was expecting another inker and drew the planes very carefully for him, then Heath was assigned to do it. Kaluta realized he didn't have to do so.

Yes, you're right. Kaluta took extra care to help Bernie Wrightson, the original inker who avoided doing research, and then had the inking assigned to an aritist who excelled on accurate weapons, uniforms, and vehicles.
