I usually associate Ryan�s work with characters from the Spidey Universe, but I really love his interpretation of the Dark Knight in this piece.

The adventure begins as Batman looks to launch off this gargoyle into action! Stegman is not going to draw a statue pose to be admired, his work is motion and impact! The pose suggests the weight shift forward towards danger as the scene is lit from below.

Fantastic piece! Beside Batman's "Ready for action" - pose I love the perspective of the buildings and the river. So good...

Bats is "ready for action" as he sees a rain cloud to the west and one can never do some gargoyle posing without being saturated.
