Description
In 1986, I picked up my first issue of Captain America. The cover by Mike Zeck was pulling me in. I must have read that issue over a dozen times. I was hooked. For the first time, I was actually paying attention who the artist was. Mike Zeck is the first artist who's art I fell in love with, and to this day remains #1 on my list. I started collecting OA 3 years ago, and Mike Zeck's cap was on top of my want list, it just never worked out. Hard to explain the joy I felt finally getting this page.

Captain America 224, Zeck's first issue on Cap. Featuring Cap, Jarvis, Beast and others. Size is slightly smaller than 11x17, on bristol.

Book mentions 2 inkers, Esposito and Tartaglione, unknown which one actually inked this page.

Nice!  Always a great grab to get a Zeck with Cap in it!

Great piece!  They must have tried to tamp down some of the art to transition from the previous issue's of Sal Buscema art, but there is no denying that Zeck's creativity is evident.  Very clean and the layouts are bold to show a refined Cap figure.

As a huge Cap fan, hated to part with it. But glad it found a great home! :)
