Description

Man...this one goes waaay back. Kevin did Frost in the late 80's, I'm thinking. He gave this to me at a con in the early nineties, when I was thinking about doing some work at Valiant, where Kevin was working as an editor at the time. It didn't work out, which was probably for the best: not sure I was a very good writer in those days.

I like this artwork and love Kevin Van Hook! He is a dear friend of mine and very talented creator.

By the way, I was the letterer on this particular page.

Oh, nice! Tell Kevin I said hello! And...nice work on the lettering! I wish I'd learned that particular talent. I think I lettered maybe 10 pages back in the days before I became purely a writer, and, dang...I did NOT do a good job.

Yeah....I miss the day of real lettering, but as a writer I have to say it's nice to be able to change lettering around with ease, thanks to computer lettering. As a comic art collector, though, it's a pity: original pages look so good when they're "complete."
