Spongebob x Blade Runner 2049 by Dave Aikins

In 2018 I set up a magnificent Spongebob x Blade Runner piece with Dave Aikins. For my first con in the Corona times, one of the biggest loose ends hanging out there and baiting me was a 2049 piece. For the sequel, I had to go bigger, and Dave even went beyond that! I love the number of character shots in this, “Handsome Squidward” most of all, and there’s even appearances from Karen, the janky Spongebob popsicle, and a reference to the Krusty Krab Pizza. Really a treat to see both pieces in the same sketchbook.
