Absolutely stunning concept color drawing from the resurrection sequence of one of my favorite Disney movies, The Black Chauldron. The picture really doesn´t do this piece justice, it´s breathtaking...

Created for the moments seen at the 1:01:19 mark of The Black Cauldron, this spectacular image features dramatic color and a low-angle composition replicated in the climactic and notoriously grim final scenes of the film. Often considered a black sheep in the Disney animated feature canon for its dark themes and presentation, The Black Cauldron has garnered a substantial cult following of fans who see the film as an underrated masterpiece set apart from the usual whimsical faire of Disney movies.
