DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!Lot of three 17x22" Iger studios artboards feature pen and ink original art for Fight Comics #31, published by Fiction House April 1944. Art is by Alex Blum (1889-1969), a comic artist known for his work on the long-running Classics Illustrated series. Art is for pages 42-44 and features Shark Brodie risking his ship and his life to save two castaways, who come w/tales of treasure. Bottom of page 44 shows them firing on Singapore Joe's ship. Top margin of each has Iger address and bottom margins of each has stamped "Fight" title and grease pencil issue/page numbers. Some scattered editorial notes in margins. Artboards have even moderate aging and first artboard has glue staining to entire bottom panel. Fine overall. Social/Sharing |
