Description
Holy Expletive!

One of the absolute highlights of NYCC2021. Jaw-dropping, edge-to-edge saturated in ink, tone, skill, and love. You give DWJ SW AC and you walk away, knowing you are in good hands.

A pleasure to meet Daniel, Yams, Lambo, and Felix for the first time at the con, and to talk a little process, and creep a little live-drawing. Thanks so much guys!

I won't say too much about the work, because you have to look at it to see it. The more you look at it, the more you see. Magic!

Tiny Magic too - unbelievably this is only 6x9 - it's the second piece i've got from him at this size and he absolutely shines - when you look at the line weights that he uses, my mind always expects him to work big, but the desire to be economical while still including the necessary details is part of Daniel's process that is really essential and keeps him lean and inventive at smaller sizes.

Have a great week!

6"x9"

Loving the determination in his face.  Great mix of grand splashy images with some storytelling!  Congrats, M!

Pieces this size require special handling, shipping materials, storage, display, etc.  This is a commission of a panel page with all the DWJ storytelling goodness.

Terrific!  It's so loose yet rich with meaningful detail.  Everything on the page is kinetic except for the arresting face at the center

Dan always seems to murder anything SW related and this one's no exception. The fact that it's on 6 x 9 is RIDICULOUS especially considering the different instruments and textures used in this piece. WINNER!

Might be the best of the bunch that came out of NYCC. I can't believe DWJ fit so much on a 9x12.

DWJ excels at these Star Wars pieces, truly in a league by himself.  Congratulations.

A commission on the topic of the greatest Star Wars comic never published by the creator himself. Stellar!

Gorgeous.  Indeed, where great art is concerned, sometimes the best advice is to "cut the chatter, Red 2" and just shut up and get to the business of enjoying said piece.  LOTS to love here and (at the risk of ignoring my own advice - too late!), I just want to say that I adore "setting" the commission as a narrative sequence, rather than as "only" a single picture.  Not only more STUFF on display (ships, Death Stars, starfields), but more of the artist as well; especially his technique, style, and storytelling chops.  Absolutely one of a kind, which is exactly what a commission should be.  SUPERB commission - love this! - sincere congrats!

Crazy great. The Green Leader ashcan is what turned me on to DWJ. I love when he returns to the subject.

How the hell does he get so much detail into such a small piece?!?! Insane!!! Awesome Piece.

Just like the TIE Fighters in hot pursuit of our Green Leader here, I simply can't shake this one out of my head.  Probably one of the pieces on all of CAF that I think of most frequently, M L (and I honestly had forgotten it was in your gallery!  Thank you for including it in your most recent "re-shuffle" of your featured pieces so I could make that connection again).  An unbelievably stunning masterwork of a commission.  My most heartfelt congrats, sir!
