DescriptionI think every Comic Art collector has a long mental list of artists they want to get an example of.. but sometimes that list is counter intuitive to other limitations you may assign to your collection- which you have in place to narrow it enough to be manageable. Jim Starlin fell into this category for me… an artist I admired a lot.. but one who did not dabble much in the X-men world. Then I saw this page from a mini from Marvel called The End… and low and behold Prof X and Jean Grey!!Social/Sharing |

A Starlin page featuring members of the X-Men? You hit the jackpot with this one!

Fantastic! The tight form fitting sweater with the horizontal stripes would make X-dudes do a double take!

Yep. It's the sweater that causes that look in the last panel. The professor sure does cut a mean cloth.

A good X page that can double as a pumpkin stencil I think.

I'm in love with the simplicity of this page. This is also from one of the most memorable eras of the X-Men mythos. The X uniforms were a rather interesting, more practical design in that period. I appreciate how they grab my attention in this page. Any time telepaths go to work in a page of X-Men art, I am sold. So the first panel, though minimal, is a wonderful Starlin/Milgrom-y take on the astral plane.
Thanks for sharing. I dig your collection and hope to start building an X-page collection soon. All the best!
