Description

This wonderful multi-panel cartoon was likely published in PM towards the end of 1940. Soviet Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Molotov and Hitler met to create an understanding between the two countries. The result of this was the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact, which remained in effect until June 1941, when Germany invaded the Soviet Union. This cartoon features an interpreter who purposely misinterprets the two men in order to create discord between them. Mission accomplished! As with the other piece likely published in PM, this cartoon appears to have a fair amount of David Low influence.
