DescriptionAbsolutely stunning work by Bermejo (as always). Albert had this DPS folded up so I only saw the splash first, and everything else was just gravy. The first panel/splash encapsulating so many wonderful details from his history is pretty much perfect. I'm surprised this depiction of Bizarro was up for the taking, tbh. I love that last panel too. Bermejo boots FTW. My first vertical DPS too! Social/Sharing |

Very fond of Wednesday Comics. Probably Chiarello's biggest gambit and coolest achievement in his long tenure at DC. This one is a prime example of what Bermejo can do. Killer acquisition, ML!

Fantastic Bermejo. The Action 1 and Death of Superman homages really take this to another level. the Supergirl image shines as well. Congrats!!

A gem amongst all the Wednesday Comics! Bermejo putting the world on notice with this masterpiece. The opening montage is an epic rundown. The only thing missing would be Martha. But the psionic blast may have done permanent damage.

You are correct, stunning as always! Bizarro, Supergirl, Lex Luthor, Darkseid and an Action #1 cover recreation? Cool!

That last panel, where he put the action inside the onomatopoeia, is straight fire. Just a brilliant idea. And that Bizaro is the coolest. I'm kind of shocked that this page was just sitting there, too. Good timing on that snatch. Yoink! What a cool DPS. Congrats!

Breathtaking, M L, and as cool as that first panel is, I'm still flabbergasted by the detail and tones in panel two's hands, fingers, and arms. Such incredible details - man, oh, man. My favorite thing, though, is in panel one, and that would be the stitching on Bizarro's "S": one single detail that underscores the childlike nature and duality of Bizarro and brings to mind both his tenuous, unpredictable calm and his deadly inevitable fury. You never know when the other boot will drop (but if panel seven is any indicator, it'll most likely be in _next_ Wednesday's comics)... Beautiful pick up, M L; sincere congrats!

Seen this one in person and it's outstanding! So much to pore over. Gotta love the AC #1 homage up top, the tonal elements throughout, and his actually lettering the sounds effects?! LOVE that in comic art. Congrats, M!

I think this is the best page from the entire sequence. So much going on!! The stitching on Bizarro's suit and that last WHAM, a Bermejo masterpiece!
