Nice score! Great page from a memorable storyline. Congrats!
Ah, this was at the height of my college days X-title reading comic collecting indulgence. Nice example for a one-and-done indeed.
As Burkey would say "Are you kidding me!"
Very sweet addition!
At last this baby is up!! Screams Jim Lee in every panel.
Such a great issue and a great page. I always think to this era of her being "Robin" to Logans "Batman", likely in part to the color schemes on this costume and a bit of the design. Such a wonderful page.
Pure jubilation. Great page!
This one's got all the goods. Super sweet page. Congrats.
I loved that trilogy....and it was incredible to see how Lee Williams were improving literally from one month to the next
You could have got a discount if you had worn your scary avatar mask. Nice page.
This was when The Dark Knight Returns crossed over into X-Men. The influence is strong and so is the artwork that aims to take the same attitude with Jubilee representing the bright, cheery, innocent center for which the X-Men's dark tone will pull against.
Hey babe, I'd like to talk to you. Howsabout coming back to my room for a little Boom Boom?
Getting horrific flashbacks of tagging along with friends to dance clubs on Saturday nights back in 1986! 🤢
Damn, I just realized I this is a Jubilee centric page, not Boom Boom. I don't know why, but I've confused their names ever since both characters were created. Everyone must've been really confused as to the context of my Boom Boom message, which is why I'm responding to it rather than deleting it. All in good fun, no shame in my game! All that matters in any case is that it's a great, action packed page with a superb 1st panel and who doesn't love Hand ninjas?
Whichever one of us that hasn't used that Cringy pickup line in high school throw the first stone? No stones being tossed here.
Great to see how jubilant you are to get this page....ok, not great, but I gave it a shot.
Regardless, color me jealous.
Amazing get. Huge congrats on adding this gem to your collection.
Congratulations!
"With style petite, with style."
Love it! So classic--will never forget Jubilee sliding on the "Death Star" floors between the guy's legs. Congrats!
Double dog doozie
So much energy packed in each panel, congrats!
BAWSS mode...engage! Loved this issue and this is a special acquisition, bud...congrats!
Exceptional UXM page, great panels and page composition from Lee/Williams!
A classic Lee/Williams UXM page. Congrats!
One-and-done: you nailed it, M L - this one has it all, from beautiful, detailed fine-line renditions of the main character, to on-page "studio film-flammery" with expertly applied white paint strobe "booms" ("ZappaDappaDO!") and strong "old school" inking on the hand ninjas (which in turn counterpoints the feeling of madcap "modern-ness" with all the striking, expertly applied zipatone). My favorite is actually panel 5, with the zipped suit providing the framing of Jubilee, building on the geometry and lighting of panel 4, ABOVE it. This is nothing short of a carnival, and Mssrs. Lee and Williams are not wasting a single centimeter of this beauty in their efforts to prove and define themselves (and the subsequent era of comics this thing burst out of). And now YOU own this. THAT is a glorious thing, M L. Sincere congrats!
Whether you like Jubilee or not, this is a Jim Lee X-Men page. Nuff said. Congrats on this ML, this is a doozy folks!
Glad the page found a great home!
🙏🏿 🤩
This is just plain fun! A classic!
I was on the verge of dropping the X-Men when this issue arrived and convinced me to keep reading. Incredible page from a phenomenal issue! Big congrats!
Yeah say what you will about Jubilee, she is emblematic of this run. This is a premium Lee/Williams jam.
Huge congrats on getting YOUR Lee UXM page, M! I remember chatting with you about this one and it hit all the beats for you as far as an X-Men OR Lee example. Great splashy shot of Jubile & great action oriented storytelling!
So so good. Wow. Jubilee looks incredible. Congrats!!
Oh yeah, this is freakin' awesome!!!!
I don't know how I missed you posting this!
That Jubilee jumping panel is seared into my childhood memories in all the best ways!
I loveeee this page. It makes me happy to stare at it!
Congratulations!!
One of the best Jubilee panel pages. Also just a great Lee/Willaims UXM example!!!!
You. Lucky. Dog. You. I'll restate it as well-- “JUBILEE IN EVERY PANEL!” And what sequential energy in each panel at that! Likewise, one of my fave pages/issues/gahhhEVERYTHING ever! Prime Lee/Williams. Congrats and thanks so much for sharing!!
You could already see here that the team of Jim & Scott were going to be Greatness!
Jubilee in every panel!!! :-)
Congrats!
there is a super Jubilee fan on caf and i didn't see her comment. which is kind of a bummer. because i hope she see's this. as this is the perfect page for any Jubilee fan. wow
