Description
Setting up here for the climax of the first major Mutant X story arc in the next issue. Hank (The Brute) helps Scotty (Havok's son) escape the Goblin Queen and brings him back to Alex.

We see the Mutant X version of the X-Men - Nightcrawler, Mystique, Warlock, Rogue, Polaris, Magneto - plus Alex and Elektra.

Not the most dynamic page by any means, but it does tell a nice little story.
- Classic establishing shot - X-Mansion
- introduce uncertainty and mystery - peeking through the door
- reaction shot - full group surprise
- conclusion through emotional payoff

Great Kirby artwork for this page with a great range of characters to work on.  Kirby uses his skill to give each one a distinctive look and persona.

I loved Mutant X when it was released.  Such fun AND darker takes on the characters.  Raney started it out in grand fashion but I enjoyed Kirby's more cartoony take, too.  Nice example here!  Congrats!
