Description
An interior page from 1992's first issue of the Green Lantern: Mosaic series which featured some of mainstream superhero comicdom's trippiest, most challenging, most thought-provoking storytelling.

The series begins after a mad Guardian of the Universe has relocated cities from across the cosmos to OA. Green Lantern John Stewart was tasked to maintain planetary order and maybe, just maybe, build a functioning society from these fragments of alien cultures.

Here, Stewart (via the masterful Cully Hamner) introduces readers to some of the stranger denizens of OA's mosaic world, alien grotesqueries reminiscent of those Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill conjured in their classic story from 1986's Tales of the Green Lantern Corps Annual #2.

This was indeed a very trippy series.  Hamner's artistic skills made it work.  I don't know if anyone else could have pulled off what he did on this book.

These alien species are shown all their glory as weirder than anything Wolverton could come up with.
