Captain America Tribute #1, Avengers issue 4 page 16

Pepe Larraz doesn't do many traditional pages so I was very happy to get this one he did for the Captain America 80th anniversary tribute comic released in 2021. For this tribute book they got multiple Artists to each recreate a page from Avengers #4, which featured Cap's return to action after being thawed out from his block of ice.

Larraz's was page 16, where the Avengers try to dislodge an alien ship from the seabed (the flow of the story is all over the place and doesn't make a tonne of sense, but I think this point in the plot is just to give them an excuse to be near the water because Namor is the main antagonist of the issue).

Larraz clearly decided to take the liberty of featuring Cap more predominantly on the page than Kirby had in the original... because it's his tribute book after all! He also made Ant-Man way bigger than the original story states (he's only meant to be about 2x normal sized in those books). Regardless... it all makes for a great page from one of Marvel's hottest new stars.
