It seems you and these pages were meant to be.
I would like to think so
What a great ending!!
An incredible story! I'm so glad I was able to get them back. By the way some fantastic pages. Congrats
Thank You. These two pages were quite the emotional rollercoaster of highs and lows.
All that busy art at the top has a purpose and every corner has something great to look at. The main story still comes across effectively.
Glad you were able to get your hands on them in the end :)
But...you bought them back? Surely there is an argument to be used that your were the first legitimate owner (which you can easily prove) and they were yours to own without having to pay for them again?
In a perfect world - Yes. California has laws in place to protect businesses buying stolen goods so i knew i would have to re buy them. So When i resaw my pages I was caught in a moment of just get them back. Last night i went to update my police report of where I found them so they can get the thief but since the price was under $800. I doubt my city will press charges.
Glad to read that the pages ultimately made their way to you, sorry to read what you had to go through to get them.
Major Congratulations to a meaningful reunion🙏🏼🤙🏻
Electrifying Action and Detail!!!
Nice when there's a happy ending to a story like that. Sweet action-packed DPS too!!
It's terrible that you had to go through that, but amazing that you did actually get the pages. It's a great DPS, so I can understand the thrill of victory to "get it back" after having it taken from you. Years ago, a Superman DPS coming to me was stolen by UPS. Ten years later, I saw it and bought it, so believe me, I know the feeling. The piece had a slice in it (I'm guessing from a UPS worker slicing the package open), but even with a rip line in it, I was still glad to get it, all those years later. So big congratulations to you, I think I know how good you feel on this one, both because of how awesome the artwork is, and also because of what it took to get it!
Sorry to read about your loss and having to buy the art a second time! But I can see why you did--It's a stunning Double Page Spread! Love all the detail Chang put into this spread! The layout is terrific and the inks are fantastic! Congrats!
