Smack dab in the middle of the run that made everyone notice the stellar talent that was going to be too good to contain just in comics.  Wrightson hit his stride right out of the gate and continued to refine the figures and environments that created atmosphere and sense of foreboding into each outing.  Wonderful gothic romance page where the Swamp Thing can not truly express his love because of his crime of being different.

Like the word "grail", the word "master" should not be thrown around lightly.  This would be the perfect piece to show someone who isn't quite sure what a Master Artist is.  Congratulations on this absolutely incredible gem.

A beautiful page. The last panel is a killer. When I get a Swamp Thing page I'd like it to be as good as this one.

What a fantastic page. Each issue of Wrightson's Swamp Thing run took on a different aspect of horror, science fiction and comic book tropes and allowed Wrightson to put his particular "stamp" on each one. I haven't read the "witch" issue in years, but this page immediately brings to mind other pages and images from the story (including the "twist" ending that Wein and Wrightson cooked up). Cheers!

That is Spectacular - especially drawn to panel 4 that shows the relative size so clearly - even though the bottom panel is totally killer!
