Description

Stunning color comprehensive painting (on 76cm x 56cm illustration board) for Crocodile Dundee 2 (the painting was finished February 1988 and the movie opened in May 1988). Unfortunately the production company chose another artist to do the final key art for CD2, but the concept was reused and finally published as the main poster artwork for Coming to America (1988), featuring Eddie Murphy.

A great decade plus of movies reflected in this Struzan painting. Incredible age in the evolution of film and blockbuster movie poster design. The artistry was taken to the height of illustration and design full of creativity and imagination reflecting our fascination of the big personalities and ideas of the 80's. This painting captures the spirit of the times.

AKA 'Invasion of the Giant Aussie and girlfriend' Who knew they were so big? They looked smaller on screen when I saw this in the cinema.
