Description

Last full feature work by Gene Colan for Marvel in 2009. The story was set in World War II and was produced directly from Colan's penciled artwork. This issue of Captain America "Red, White, and Blue-Blood" by Ed Brubaker and Gene Colan won the Eisner award in 2010 for "Best Single Issue". Original art is signed in the upper right. In this page Cap and Bucky are attacked by a female entertainer who has been turned into a vampire.

Colan's montage here has impact storytelling with all the pencil and tonal work!  It was incredible he was given opportunities to do proper swan songs stories for DD and Cap!
