Description

Greg Clark creates and sells artwork related to film noir and old movie serials on Ebay, and also does commissions. This piece is a commission. Keye Luke, who played eldest son Lee Chan, was in real life a fine artist, and his character, Lee, also had art talent, as well as detective skills, and athletic skills that led the character to participate in the 1936 Olympics in the movie Charlie Chan At The Olympics. After Warner Oland who portrayed Charlie Chan died, there was talk about Keye Luke taking over the central role in the Charlie Chan series, but it unfortunately didn't work out. He did become the detective Mr. Wong in the final episode of that movie series, and went on to portray an intern in the Dr, Gillespie movie series in the 1940's, and continued working in movies and TV for several decades afterwards.
