DescriptionIn my opinion Batmanīs Grave is one of the best Storylines in recent years. Warren Ellis wrote an exciting, innovative and grounded crime story, perfectly staged by Bryan Hitch. And the fantastic Detective work reminds me of The Batman, so it is the perfect weekend to post this! Many thanks to my friend Alex. Social/Sharing |

beautiful cover. i don't read a lot of Batman so it is a bit startling to see him stand over a pile of blooded and beaten cops. congrats on this pick up.

At first I was also a bit startling, but luckily he wasn't responsible for the pile of cops! Thanks for the comment, David!

Love the cover! I am a fan of great architectural backgrounds and this one is really great. Was thinking about this cover too, but decided to go with #5 and #8.

Although I hate Batman's costume (seriously, he seems to wear a different one in every Batman comic! Early 90's belt pouches?), I still love the actual composition. The tiltedcamera really builds interest and drama and Hitch's work on thos buildings is fabulous, especially the reflection effect he created on the building on the left. Great stuff!

Gotham city is a character on its own here. Batman is just a reflection of it.

Had to comment again, Brian did an awesome detailed job. Other artists would just draw some skyscrapers. But when you look in the front big two buildings, you see other buildings from the other streetside in the windows, which used Brian as mirrors. That's so fantastic. He draw so much outstanding covers. Huge congrats to this one.

The calm AFTER the storm! I like the upward perpective choice, and it's a great decision to have his eyes shadowed in. Congrats!
