Mandy taking a bath by Dean Yeagle

A fun pre-done sketch that Dean had in his various portfolios when he attended my local national convention years ago (when his art was all the rage, remember how super trendy he was for some time? And I'm not intending this comment in any condescending way).

To be frank, while I still like it, I can't see why it took me so long to pick this one. I gad gotten a Mandy/Tigra mash-up sketch from Dean which was my ultimate goal and to thank him, I thought I'd buy one of his sketches. Only there were so many it took me forever to decide (half an hour flipping back and forth through the portfolios?).

It's a bit different from his usual pin-upy poses which is probably what attracted me to it. Dean's fantastic sense of (animated) anatomy is nicely displayed as well (the legs, fingers, her relaxed face, etc...) and lastly the sense of "nature" with the water and the flying dragonfly is an unusual touch in Dean's art (if you exclude her dog).

Every time I met him, Dean was very nice to his fans. Interesting bit of trivia, when I asked Mandy's age, he answered that she is (a perpetual) 22.
