FRAMED TWO PAGE PRELIMINARY WATERCOLOR FOR THE COVER ARTWORK OF �GOLDEN SLEEPY BOOK�, TWO PAGES

WATERCOLOR ON PAPER, FRAMED TO 24" X 15.25"

A stunning double page framed watercolor by Garth Williams of the preliminary draft artwork for the cover of �Golden Sleepy Book�. The two pages were framed side by side, one signed in full on the right margin edge. A warm illustration of the bear in two different bedtime routines, one in his night cap and gown climbing the stairs with a candle, and the other tucked into bed while yawning and stretching. Rendered in soft watercolors and signed in ink.

Presented in a new black frame using all archival materials and UV plexiglass. A charming large piece.

PROVENANCE: The art was purchased from an auction house, who in turn acquired these pieces direct from the estate of Garth Williams. Each piece is an original and sold directly from his estate. A copy of the original invoice will be included with each piece, and will provide both provenance and authenticity for the art.

The art is in excellent condition and would be stunning framed.
