Description
The second I saw this cover solicited I knew I had to try to get it… Sabertooth in his 90s costume battling magneto!!! I hadn’t read the story as it was going to be a few months before it saw print but I could not think of many time these two have battled and never as good as this looked! Weaver does an incredible job on both of our X-men “villians” here… but the two things I thought that separated this from the pack were the expression on Magneto and the chains… the chains are just magnificent, and the energy they add to the cover is flawless.

"To me my brotherhood!" Not quite what Magneto had in mind. Beautiful battle cover by Weaver. Dynamic and excellent execution of both baddies

You said you Dustin Weaver.
You Brotherhood buy (good buy).
You sacrificed some good art
to show off with pride.
Now you wish that you fight Lehnsherr (Lehnsherr)
and you feel like Sabertooth.
You let them rock and sway
Now the lines just feel insane.
Gotta blame it on something,
(gotta blame it on something)
gotta blame it on something.

Blame it on the chains that was crossing, crossing.
Blame it on the scars that rendered line so tight.
Whatever you do, don't chain the Sabertooth.
Blame it on the chains, yeah, yeah.
You can blame it on the chain.

Awesome song, but I'll never get over the revelation that Alison Blaire lip-synched the whole thing.

As for the cover itself, Weaver did an amazing job with it.

Just an impressive dynamic image!  I know you typically lean a little more vintage, but this was a great grab!

Killer X baddie vs X baddie piece!  Dynamic, wth a huge shot of a pouncing Creed with Erik getting his bearings!  Or his chains, rather!  Yup, the movement of the chains, and depth they bring in that lower right of the image, really does make the piece.  Congrats, man!

Magneto's attack using chains would be sufficient agains most foes, but not Sabertooth! Congrats.

I am not sure what is going on with this cover as I would have placed my bet on magneto with all that metal in play, but it matters not - this is a great savage and ferocious Sabretooth in perfectly rendered action. Congrats - thanks for sharing!
