Swan did a 2-year stint on the Superman dailies from 1957-8 then returned to comics. He came back to the strip in early 1960 for another year before Wayned Boring returned to the strip. This daily is from a story arc which retells a story from the comic books where Superman promises a swindler treasure. They did that a lot, in fact Swan redid the Wayne Boring story Superman Returns to Krypton as a sequence of dailies.

That's a lovely daily Wally. Curt also did this story in the comic book and it was completely redrawn.
