DescriptionJoakim Drescher, the son of illustrator and artist Henrik Drescher, has published two collections of his Motel Universe series. Described as "...an intergalactic saga...", Drescher's work has been described as "a misfit mash-up, part Henry Darger, part S. Clay Wilson and part Fletcher Hanks all grafted onto a base of Mark Beyer". That Fletcher Hanks vibe is what drew me to this page, slated to be published in volume three of the series. As part of the process, the ink drawing is printed and then hand-colored. The colored version is what becomes published. But there is an odd charm in the original ink drawing, white-out and all.Social/Sharing |
