A really cool commission from Hal Haney. Hal and I brainstormed for awhile on a wrestling themed comic cover homage. We really got the ball rolling once it was decided that Big Van Vader would play the role of Juggernaut. After that, everything just sort of fell into place. Some of you early ‘90’s wrestling fans might remember The White Castle of Fear storyline with filmed vignettes that ramped up to a strap match between Vader/Sting at Superbrawl. If not, look it up. Shit’s wild.

Like with all of Hal’s work, the details really make the piece. (Yes, that’s Mick Foley’s ear on the ground.) The cameos and stand ins for Dave Cockrum’s original are just excellent. And where else are you going to see an Arachnaman UPC box?

This is a lights out commission! A classic match for sure, don't let this distract you from the fact that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table.
