DescriptionSam Wilson Captain America #24 page 20 is a great end-page splash and measures 12 3/4" x 17 3/4". In issue 21, Sam Wilson gave up the Captain America mantle, which is a common reoccurring plot for Captain America comics. In issue 24, he takes up the Captain America mantel again and there are several pages depicting him suiting up again in the Captain America uniform and shield which culminates in this great heroic splash page.What I also like about this piece is the art process depicted on it. On the back, there appears to be a rough prelim sketch with perspective lines in blue pencil. The figure is centered in the page. Joe Bennett must have not liked the layout and started over on the other side. The finished piece has the figure left of center. Also, Joe Bennett must have not liked the original head because the head on the final piece is pasted on. Social/Sharing |
