Description

GI Joe Clutch and his VAMP MK-II, by Geof Isherwood! Geof drew a couple great issues of GI Joe (issues 20 and 97), both of which focused on Clutch as the central Joe. Clutch has always been one of my favorite Joes, thanks in no-small-part to those issues, so it had to be Isherwood who drew this Clutch commission.

I asked Geof for Clutch and requested that he maybe include a reference to the VAMP somehow (as any Joe fan knows, Clutch is never without his VAMP). What Geof provided went way above and beyond what I had asked for – not only drawing a fantastic Clutch, but a fully rendered off-road VAMP MK-II. I love the smile on Clutch’s face as he proudly shows off his newer model of the classic VAMP vehicle.

Geof noted that, before drawing comics, he enjoyed drawing and designing vehicles; he clearly brought that interest to this piece, demonstrated by the way he drew that killer VAMP. Very grateful for this one!

I really appreciate an artist's ability to render technical stuff. A definite must for a GI Joe image!
