DescriptionWhat a stunning way to begin the story. Deep, precise inks from Craig emphasize the graphic nature of the clever layout and the minimalist design.Look Ma! No hands! A note on overlay and DC colors. Lee Loughridge has, since issue 1, installed a living color palette. His work complements Craigs in the best possible way. Coincidentally, due to current supply chain limits, it is easier for me to use printable overlays, as plain mylar sheets in a large size are scarce. I've used this as an opportunity to include multiple, subtle homages to Loughridge's work, while also preserving the beauty of the original art. This page in particular has more color than normal. Whatever happened to predictability?
Romitaman, the Albert Moy, buy from Anthony?
How did this get delivered here? Somebody tell me please
Cause this art work is just really impressing me
Craig leans in see where Saya's been
Aint' a cat don't knows she's ruined
Then a little voice inside of Remender
"Kid, don't sell your dreams so soon!"
Everywhere you look, everywhere you go
There's some art (there's a heart), one hand to hold onto
Everywhere you look, everywhere you go
There's a place (and a face) of somebody who needs you
When you're lost out there and you're all alone
Mikail is waiting to carry you home
Every page you post

The overlay looks good with the color. This is probably one of my favorite pages from the issue.

Fishnets against a Victorian backdrop. Very fitting.

Cats get their foot prints everywhere! Wow, the artistry goes to 11 here. I love how he has those cats walking over the panels and through the page a different angles. Just creates something purely artsy, and I dig it. Man, these inks are pretty. And excellent work on that overlay. I like the color choices. Great score.
